It's a singlespeed/fixed bike that you can ride on railroad tracks.

Pros: usually there's a town every 10 miles or so, not many cars.
Cons: No swerving, trains.

Nice. One of those would be great in my city, we've got some nice abandoned railroad tracks that it would be fun to cruise.

Would be pretty cool though. Riding over railroad ties for a few kilometers really wears you out.

I rode something like this this summer in the Rhone valley in France with my parents and dog. It was a 2 person pedal car (with room for 2 extra passengers) and we rode it through some awesome scenery for a few hours. It was a sourt of tourist attraction thing and it was pretty fun, especially because it was a sort of car so you could stop pedaling and relax and the dog could sit there and pant.
