ya i read this nifty little handbook on making car bombs..
AHHH the FBI...i swear i was kidding...
To the generic FBI types reading thism, or thier canadian eqivilent, the RCMP, i am not a car bomber. i just dont like them...my apologies for any bomb scares i may have created, or if i sent your country into high alert and almost started the second cold war. Any inconviences in the form of sending swat teams to arrest me and the price of dispatching a squadron of fighter pilots was accidental and not meant. lol

Some good books I've read are
Carfree cities web site (http://www.carfree.com/) Very indepth look at how one would design and run a ver nice car free citie. I want to live in one.
Urban Bikers' Tricks & Tips by Dave Glowacz a great book some people say some of the things he suggests are dangerous and stupid (sly biking tips in traffic) but anyone who has spent a lot of time on the road will appreciate the advice within
I was looking through the resources section of the carfree website and found a huge list of books, I managed to put holds on a bunch of them at the library, but since I haven't read any yet I will not make any recomendations

Outstanding book that changed my life and got rid of my car.

When unpublished playwright and director Culley found it difficult to earn a living in the creative arts, he took a job as a bike messenger. This is the story of his adventures on the streets of Chicago. The author's descriptions are so vivid and apt that it is easy for the reader to imagine himself pedaling at breakneck speeds through crowded intersections and along sidewalks. Marla Streb only wrote the forward or introduction to that book. I can't recall the name of the author, as I have lent my copy to my LBS. She has written a book too.

The author is Robert Hurst, not Marla Streb. They use Marla's name to sell more copies, she just wrote the introduction. I liked the book, but parts I disagreed with.

i wonder, it might be interesting to dig up some really old books, like back during Jefferson's time..books regarding a new type of community that uses the latest invention, the bicycle. somebody must have written a story about how the bicycle could change the world
