Hey,
I was wondering if anyone has the new 06 661 dually shoes with the taki soles?
I've been wearing the 04 and 05 models and I love the grip that i get with them.
They changed their soles to the Taki sole and was wondering what people thought of them?
Any body have them?

Yeah, I've got 'em - - HAD to have them the second I saw 'em. I'm embarrased to say that I have not actually used them yet, tho' :o . I love my Launches, though, so when they redesigned the Dually and came out with the new Taki version, I had to upgrade.

Launches are so good, the Duallys are bound to be x2, with the ankle support and even stickier rubber. I imagine that the pins in my pedals will chew them up pretty good though. Winter's finally receeding in Spokane, so hopefully I'll get out soon and report back.

Yeah, the only thing that i heard about them was that the sole is not durable at all!
I didn't hear anything about the grip though.
I admit they do look alot nicer than the previous models.

Aren't the launch shoes SPD? You use them for platform pedals?

Aren't the launch shoes SPD? You use them for platform pedals? They're the '04 which were either/or. I DH on platforms (never got the hang of clipless for that), so I left the cleat cutout on the sole alone. The '05 launches are that way too; but I notice that they make two versions for '06 and the Taki is non-SPD.
