Suns out, i'm going riding, REAL riding.
The Big rock awaits.
This will be the first 'trials' type riding I've done since fall, when I stressed fractured my arm.
(yes, you can freeride a rigid ht, bike survived, I suffered! Not a wipeout -stressing the bone. )
Even thinking of riding like that and my arm ache....I hate getting old.
Bike has been modded to reduce the stress. The changes need to be tested. ;)

...the rock is waiting, it's always there.
Immobile and permanent.

I was thinking of pics, but I posted them before.
And I'm going alone - a pic of a big rock and a claim to ride it is bunk.
Trust me, fun stuff!
I'm no downhiller thriller -you ride what you like.
-I'm going rock climbing!

I'm wishing myself luck!
Ride something hard.

Fueling up,
....wanna see my favorite bike pic EVER?
Peace >out.

Awesome ride -and my arms feels fine!

It's been a while ..got cocky and first run and I forgot to run low gear -smacked the toptube with my knee. Haaha. :roflmao:
Had to pedal around the flat rocks for a while.
Then I took it.
Now I'm looking for a new rock...went for a ride down the coast.

Rode some stone on the beach. One run to the waters edge I almost endo'd into the ocean.
I'd like to call it trials, but I'm not hopping on my rear wheel (XC bike) -kinda more like extreme climbing. Right now I'm practicing slow controlled riding and hopping off the rocks. Next is the balancing on the rear wheel.

What I love about mtbs is that there are no perameters as to what you should do with them -or what you should ride.
My interests are a bit different, I fell climbing when I was young, dislike hights.
So I climb up over rocks with my bike. I master some rocks at least.

There's a few local riders who do trials -they are really advanced -I'm kinda new to it.
Solo project.
Older guys do urban stuff and a couple younger guys do bench\driftwood\rock hopping.

I'm a bit too much of a scaredy cat to try some of the stuff i've seen them do.
'Gravity is a harsh mistress.' Maybe with a trials bike and the saddle lower!

I went twice! Just got back.
I took a camera, but it was getting dark -the shots are lousy.

As I was coming home, on the road was one of the laser car speed posting signs.
It's a slight incline then a flat bend then the sign. I noticed it late and just give a kick as I crossed.
32 km.....thought about it..I'm kinda tired -a few miles to home.....
Turned around and rode back 1/4 mile. Did a run.
Did 38 kmph flatland, and with a motorcycle size front tire.
Would have liked to have taken a picture of that sign. How? riding one handed? ;)
These are the pics that are o.k.
