I've decided to donate some of my time and about 150MB of web space I pay for to host a High Quality image tribute or image reference of Fully Loaded bicycles that have been photo'd on tour.

Seven photographs have already made it there:
Loaded Bicycle Touring Tribute Photos (http://www.pbase.com/canyonlands/fullyloaded)

Here's are some image submission requirements for those interested:
1) *High quality* images that can be emailed to me or that already reside online. The larger the better as I can resize them down to the gallery norm.
2) *Loaded* . At least four panniers or two panniers and a trailer.
3) *Touring* . In this instance, a tour is at least a few days in length. No images of bikes leaning against the garage, against a car or inside a home.
4) This is something of a reference so bikes can't be obscured or shown from a full front or back angle.
5) Only one image per bicycle. That's one per bike, not per owner.
6) Don't submit photos that aren't yours.

Email submissions to: gathertheglobe(AT)yahoo(DOT)com and....
I need the first name of the bike's owner, the make and model name of the bike as it can be hard to tell sometimes, what country province/state the photo was taken in and a general statement of what the tour was. I.e. Concord New Hampshire USA, tour of the Northern Tier route. If there are multiple loaded bikes in a photo then I need all the riders names.

This project is not profiting me in anyway aside from the "Thanks for doing this." notes I've received. The images are for the gallery alone and will appear with the following statement: * *All images appear here with express permission from their owners and are Copyrighted* * Photo backups will eat up my hard drive space just in case PBase crashes three years down the road or something.

Lastly, I'll stress image quality once more. I'd rather have a gallery of 30 images that are all beautiful done instead of a gallery of 100 images of varying quality. The T800 photo almost didn't make it because of a noisy background that doesn't add anything good to the photo. The Atlantis photo is at the lower limit of acceptable bike size in the photo frame. If a shot is spot on but has a few dust specks in the sky, I can take care of that in Photoshop.

Tell those you know having images that belong in this gallery to send them in.

Tailwinds!

We've got one in the gallery now thanks to Marten! Thanks Marten!! :D

Of course more heavily loaded, very well photographed bikes caught while on tour will always be welcome. As long as they meet the photo and load requirements to maintain the vision of the gallery.

Cheers!
