I need to completely replace my brake on my Bestwick pro. Everything cables, a new gyro, a lever, and calipers. Heres what im thinking of buying...odyssey monolever, odyssey GTX detangler, odyssey cables, and odyssey evolvers...My brakes dont even work as it is... the winter and road salt from winter riding has messed everything up...

Well, Mr. Disc Brakes, this seems like a perfect time to go on with Plan 9.

I have all that on my bike. Works great.

If you want a gyro:
Dual Cables are the way to go,
Dragonfly (for the upper and lower)
Odyssey GTX-R
Either Dia-Tech or Primo lever (the Monolever snap, (i know like 5 people that have broken theirs, and mine is cracked)

Dia-Tech or Primo? The only real option is the Dia-Compe Tech-77.

I meant the one (dia-tech or dia-compe) that has the "Dirty harry" lever...
the tech-77 is "classic" but not for me...
I like trigger levers (i have the monolever but its about to snap...)
Ill be getting a Dirty Harry when it does...

Dirty Harry is a pretty good lever...I've had 2 of them. One I sold(Needed money for a new Xbox controller), the second was on my DK when it got stolen. Neither of them snapped, and worked really well.
why blow money on brakes for bmx. do you REALLY use them that much?
when you have about an 1/8" between the landing and the start of the tranny for the next take off at your jumps that has no landing yet and not enough time to use a bail trail you do.

I only get one pair of shoes like every 3 months, I'd rather not have holes in the bottem of them from jamming the in the tire to stop.
you get more shoes then i do . . .
i see where you guys are comming from now.
You need to look at WHY your brakes aint working, then decide what you need. Replacing an entire brake set up just cos it aint working is a tad ott.

Probably he doesn't know how to adjust the spring tension and is too dumb to figure out why the gyro is flopping. I won't give him the benefit of the doubt.

You're too bitter to give anyone a chance.
A gyro shouldn't ever flop around.

Every 3 months? You must buy really crappy shoes...

I buy good shoes, but I like to keep them nice looking. And I do know how to adjust the tension in the springs on the calipers. Its just that the springs are junk. My brake cables arent really that good. My gyro is fine, I just want a new one. So why not replace everything?

Nobody should 'shive a get' what you wanna buy.
If you want it, and have the $, buy it!
BTW, with the Odyssey brakes, you can buy rebuild kits, so you don't have to replace the whole brake.
Springs shoes and cables. That and a bit of knowledge plus an allen key set should do it.

I got the working enough to slow me down. But im gonna replace the cables, for now. Since my bike was set up for only one cable, am I going to have to use a london mod, in order to have dual cables?

Sure wish I was rich like you then...
I've had my shoes for like 9 months, the rubber is starting to crack on the front and the bottoms are kind of worn in a tire shape down the middle of the front part... Time for some new ones soon.
Ha! I have Ugg boots older than most of the guys that post on here. And my good riding shoes are about 5 years old. All kids shoes today are low quality, as they're not designed to last more than one season (3 months).
