Sorry, couldn't figure out the map bit. You can stick it one there, though, if you want.
Most of the year I spend in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China, the rest is either in Boyle Heights, LA, or North Seattle. I get so confused sometimes!

So how do you add a city, when you have popups blocked?

I'm living in the past - my newest bike is 1995, the rest are 70's & 80's.

Unfortunately the map is insisting that I enter my 5 digit zip code, even after it finds my Non-US city. So - no pinio for me :(

for having a nice overview were our fellow vintage lovers live! In other words: no serieus things...

and where the map is? Just click the link in the 1st post

and how to find your city when the zip code doesnt work? Wait any longer and start typing. A pull down menu appears. On my pc this was a blank pull down menu :(
But i guessed it was the first option and after clicking i saw i was right.

Smart munitions targeting. Why?

Pity, it's not working when I type in my city. The software recognizes the cityname, and gives the right province and country. So far so good. But it doesn't add me to the map! I feel unwelcome ...

It just seems that they require more personal information than is necessary.

you don't have to register at all. I just filled in name/location and boom there was my pin.

OK, I'm in the map (in the place I want to be, heh heh). Also trying to expand to that global feeling! The picture I uploaded is not showing though (only 90 Kb). Anybody else feels this frappr is a very slow application?

I also live in the North County, 9.54 miles north of of the La Paloma.

I am about 2km north of La Paloma Theater. For those unfamiliar with it, La Paloma, built in 1928, is one of the last surviving big single-screen art-deco theaters. I wish they could afford to upgrade their sound system, but the theater really is "part of the show," as one of the earlier advertising campaigns declared. From time to time they also have live concerts and other performances, but special-interest films, including surfing and cycling documentaries.

Been here since 2300. I'll be here until 0730. And I do this six days a week until I can get some one else trained as my backup :( . Just in case any one cares, I'm at lunch right now...

It's kinda hard being a vintage bike aficionado in a country where there were like 3 bicycle manufacturers who made the same bikes for fifty years :o

You might be able to find stuff if you look around. I'm in Latvia and we have tons of vintage lightweight racing bikes. You might want to check with any pro teams in your area.

Yeah, I know that, although I'm not terribly fond of racing bikes - too much potholes and drizzle here. It's harder getting smaller parts to repair/upgrade them. So I'm kinda jealous of people in the US/EU who have Ebay, Craigslist and postal services that don't steal stuff. :D

I know what you mean.....

For packages sent from Europe I've had very good luck with the German shipping firm DPD.

...postal services that don't steal stuff. :D

When I first started working with registered mail, I was told that people in certain countries would register what would appear to be really senseless things (toothpaste, shampoo, etc.) to us in the US because the registered mail was virtually the only mail which would get through relatively untouched. Even so, many of the people mailing things such as shoes would send only one of the pair, and would not send the other shoe until the recipient had notified the sender that the article had been received  .

Yes, it still happens.

"postal services that don't steal stuff."

Don't worry, in recompense, we have package delivery services that crush stuff.

I think I'd rather have it stolen, it's hard seeing vintage bikes destroyed. UPS is 0 for two with me in the last couple years.
