Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - FGG: Worst submission ever

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Things you learn about the bike from these photos:
1. It is a Todd Pelman.
2. It is yellow.
3. King headset.
Can any other detectives figure some more out?

it has two wheels, i'm pretty certain about that.
It may be saddleless, but the frame is yellow

It's an EAI Bareknuckle with someone's autograph on the downtube.

Dude, that site is kinda lame these days.
Someone should make "the worst conversion" site.
PS - Velo Space dude, don't let your site go down like FGG!

Bareknuckles are Deda, not Columbus SL.
he says it's a Zeh.

Anyone can buy that fork crown, so that's kind of meaningless. Also, the frame is made out of Columbus tubing - the EAI frames are dedacciai. What I don't get is if this guy made it himself with the help of Mark Zeh (in which case he's kind of a conceited ass), or if Zeh made the frame for him (in which case, why all of the logos/headbadge with his own name?). A dilly of a pickle, indeed.

Googling reveals that both Mark Zeh and Todd Pelman work for a company called Ideo.

ideo is a seriously high-zoot design/interface/ui/shiny lickable gadgets company...

i noticed that the rear rim is Wheel Smith, you can read the "Smith" part pretty good, he has a red rear tire and headset. his sticker is crooked! haha the front hub looks like a Suntour Superbe High flange Track laced with aero spokes. bling bling
also the front cable routing looks funny cause he used an aero lever

front wheel looks to be radially laced.
it has a chain.
the headbadge is ginormous.
dude doesn't know the difference between "seen" and "scene."
i still don't like yellow.

i have a yellow straight blade steelman fork that looks almost exactly like that fork (except for the steelman decals).

also, FGG should have separate categories for the large number of completely stock iro/pista/soma/surly/langster/raleigh/whatever bikes. i don't need to see another stock mark v.
they should also separate conversions into a category.

i thought with a comment like that, the pictures would blow me away. meh. i fail to see anything special about the bike. hell, with pics like that, i fail to see much of anythiing about the bike. like it was already said...i now know it's yellow and has two wheels.

With regards to the fork, Paul Sadoff used a fork crown that looks similar/identical to fabricate the fork on my custom points race frame.

Pretty sure my fork is not a bareknuckles... ;)

Even the background is boring. After having such a close up view of the gumwalls, I'm in the mood for gum.

looks like the cranks are campy.
Man, if I built my own frame, I'd have some real nice pictures of it for damn sure, even if I had to have someone else take them 'cuz I can't take no pictures for shti

Pretty damned cool if you ask me, not so much the frames but the idea that you can take a bicycle framebuilding class at a university.

no, Ken Wu, not "Misteh Pehlman" (said with a snooty english butler's accent).

the cranks look like campy record, and he's using something similar to dura ace 7410 pedals that use the almost-but-not-quite SPD cleat that has the pontoons on it.

I love this thread.Thanks!
Umm.as far as the FGG having categories. I think that the cool thing about it is that Dennis puts EVERYTHING up, unedited and uncategorized. Sometimes I groan, and sometimes I drool. Plus, why would he wanna make even MORE work for himself? Remember, he doesn't get paid, and I'm willing to bet that most of the posts you see in which folks say "Paypal on the way" are just full of crap. Just pay up and don't say shiat about it.

"dont hate"
If you want categories check out velospace. You decide what categories your bike goes into, you decide which ones you want to see on the site.

The top 10 tags are hard coded, the other 175 were added by people who uploaded their bikes.

i know todd (we work for the saem company www.ideo.com), this isn't a stock rebadged frame, it's handmade by him and mark zeh while he worked in CA (mark has some amazing handmade track and TT frames knocking around on these forums)
I've seen frame no2. of todd's in the CA studio, baby blue, similar tubeset, lugless construction, it's a roadie and it is indeed one of the most beautiful bikes i've ever seen...
..shame his posting doesn't do his and mark's craftsmanship justice

the steelman fork on my cross bike. it's even yellow.
they probably get their tubes and lugs from the same source (this fork is columbus).
IDEO does amazing work, and the fact that someone from such a fantastic studio would submit such crap photography is perplexing.

jeez guys, chill out, the guy shared some sub par photography of a great bike, it's not like you paid for the privelige of the pics.....maybe he's busy doing amazing creative stuff for work?
Maybe you should ignore the thread and go try to break up a fistfight somewhere?

it would have just been better to take a single pic of the drivetrain side instead of multiple pics of a signature. easy peasy! it is almost as ridiculous as people who upload every bloody pic off their camera to flickr (or FGG) and you see 3-4 almost identical shots in sequence.
