so after monstertrack weekend, i desperately needed to get a new set of cheap tires on the quick. i picked up a set of kenda kampaign wire beads at beacon st. bike. as far as i can tell, they're discontinued, but they are a lot of fun. while i don't want to blow through them too quickly, as i'm still broke - i find it hard not to skid all the time since it slides across the pavement a lot easier than my previous tires. while less traction may ultimately prove to be a bad thing, these are an unexpectedly fun tire.

these were the 1st tires i ever bought when i first started biking. i hated them. SOOO many flats.

if you want a tire that will last get the vitoria randoneur. it will last you at least a month no matter how fast you try to go through it.

And if you want a tire that will slip all over the place, I recomend underinflating the conti ultra 2000s while its raining.

I am riding one of these right now and actually like it quite a bit. We'll see how long it lasts

What about IRC Duro Roadwinners?
I just bought a set of 700x28s because they were cheap as cheap.
Must have been OEM cast-offs or something.

the bontragers look better than armadillos to me. i dont know what that says about me, but whatever. they feel as thick as armadillos too.

yeah, i'm of the firm opinion that these things were discontinued and sent to live in the attic, because they're so bad. however, they'd be a great tire to learn how to skid using either foot, although i'm fine with that as is. i'll do my best to keep them inflated up near 110.

i'm not sure if these baddies will break in, but today the damp pavement made for some crazy skids. these things have patented krap traktion.

when i upgrade, it will probably be to one of the rubinos.
