I can't seem to see where I can ask for the dates on the posts to be in European format .... I would much rather see d/m/y rather than the slightly backward m/d/y ... I like that I can have the local timezone set, it means I can see easily how old the post is - now just need ISO 8601 format or better.

Not only would it be good to put into international date format D/M/Y (as opposed to the format only used by the Americans of M/D/Y ), but as this site is accessed all over the world conventional 24 hr clock would also be appreciated rather than the AM/PM still used in the USA

Agreed.

And thanks for not referring to it as "military time" as most seem to be wont to do. They are only one small group of people around the globe that use that form.
