So today i finally bought my bike...2005 Ironhorse Warrior Sport. before everyone starts to rip me apart, I figured i couldnt beat it for the price- $250. Its got the rock shox J1 fork (is that the same as a judy?), Tektro disk brakes, alivio shifters...it all seems to be pretty decent stuff. I pick it up tommorrow, im pretty excited.

no, i dont think so...
i used to have tektro brakes on my old bike that got stolen, but that got stolen.
they were noisy when they were wet, but i think that all disc brakes are noisy when wet.
good luck

Well about your brakes, after the pads worn out, dont bother replacing the pads, do like me - recently my Shimano brake pads worned out so instead of replacing the pads, I straight away bought a '05 Avid Single Digit 7 and I can tell you that I was soo happy cause these brakes really make you feel that you are in total control.
