Bailing wire and duct tape! Same stuff that kept our deer blinds up on the deer lease when I was a kid. Oh, I also think there's some metal that's been melted together on the MTB and some melted metal acting as a glue on my road bike.

1.Original Equipment Manufacturing processes (OEM)

2. Molecular bonding - too simple and too complicated at the same time

3. Relativety

On two of my bikes, I've replaced all the bolts with allen bolts. Now I just use 3 allen wrenches for almost everything (unless it needs a specialized tool.)

The welds some chinese kid did a while ago are still holding up strong.

Those Tainwanese kindergardeners weld at a 10th grade level ya know.

Something you won't hear about on CNN

The US is not only fally behind in science and math, but welding also.

the frame tubes are held by lugs - the seat by seatpost -the seatpost by bolt and nut

the rims and hubs are held by spokes - the chain by rear cog and front chainring.
