Touring - Just wanted to say thank you.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Thank you everyone so much for guiding me in my quest to start touring. You guys really went out of your way to help me with everything from choosing components on my bike to my paniers, my camping gear, and you even provided basic camping instruction. There is no dout that you all saved me a fortune because thanks to you I am confident that I bought all the right stuff the first time. For that I am very thankful.
I set out on my first 4 day tour by myself, camping stealth style on 03/20/2006. Thanks to all of you I could not be more prepared for this trip!!! I will be sure to post a pic of my bike all loaded up in the middle of nowhere as soon as I get back!!! :)
Sincerly,
Mike

The best thanks is the knowledge you pass on to others. I suppose the converse is true, too....
You're trained well, young Jedi. May the Force be with you.

It's all about the experiences. Well actually self reliance and experiences. Well no, it's about adventure, self reliance and the experiences.
Have a great time. I hope you post some pix.
