Hello,
My wife and I have a Cannondale Road tandem that we would like to do some light touring on. The question lies in what to do for racks. I have a Jandd expedition that wil fit the front with some modification. My concern is that one of the mods is to drill the fatty fork to secure the rack as there are no braze-ons . The fork is huge but I am wondering if I need to worry about strength issues.
Thanks,
Scott
I would recommend the Carradice Limpet Pannier and Rack Combo at Wallbike.com.
No braze-ons needed.

Assuming that you mean it has no mid-fork braze-ons, but does have eyelets by the axle, all you need are P-clamps that clamp around the fork tube and to the rack. They literally look like the letter 'P' from the top. If you are missing the eyelets completely, then you need a rack that mounts to the axle itself, like Old Man Mtn. I would prefer not to be drilling the fork tube.
