Sweet Bike Raiyn, do you have it already? I'm a big fan of Horst's four-bar link suspension design. It's fully active, and with smooth pedaling, you can almost eliminate pedal bobbing, or just use the lockout if you have one!

Hey, want to hook-up Sunday? I'm trying to get a group together to go riding this Sunday. It'll either be at Alafia or over to Carter Road.

Right now, I've got about 8 people committed and about another 5-10 maybe's.

If you get a chance, go to www.clubmtb.com and find S.O.R.C.E. Sarasota's Off Road Cycling Enthusiasts and sign-up. You can post when you're going riding and it send everyone in the club an e-mail. It's Free, and a good way to hook-up with other riders.

If you sign-up, you'll get a notice when we finally determine where we're going and what time to meet!

That is one sweet bike! 3 or 4 years ago that would have been better than most DH bikes. That's just about perfect for XC, and the upgrades you chose were spot-on...

L8R I' ll sign up but I don't have her yet. This one won't fall through though because I've put money on it. Holidays + new bike = layaway and poverty:o

UPDATE: My second payment on the bike has been made.... If things go well I'll have her by X-mas (or my B-day). Now if Pricepoint could get their $4!+ together and send me the wheelset I wanted (they sent me Mavic 223's on XT Disc w/ 14 ga straights and overcharged me by $14) Between them and UPS (left a note for pickup of the incorrect wheelset between 10am and 2pm.... doesn't show until 6:15pm) I'll probably have the bike paid off before I get my wheels!!:crash: :crash: :crash:

FWIW: The UPS driver I have at work (who I wish had the route I live on as well) is an excellent person and very good at his job.

WOOT!!! I just made the 3rd payment Thursday as well as dropped off the wheelset & brakes! Next paycheck she's all MINE!!! The funny thing about it is the guys at the LBS hadn't even put the new fork on her yet! Oh well, they said all I needed to do was give them a call about two days ahead of when I planned to come in for her and she'd be ready.

Practically bouncing around with glee:D

BTW this is my 500 th post!!

That's a sweet bike dude, we've got one at the shop. You made good choices with your upgrades also, the fork being the best. The axel is flexy, and it's tuning abilities aren't the best.

Hey Raiyn,

Let me know when you get her and I'll meet you over at Alafia.

I heard it was underwater due to the recent rains. I hit Carter Road on Saturday. Trails were so-so, they got a lot of rain too, and some trails had a lot of water.

Ok I'm getting her FRIDAY the boss is letting me work a short shift (it's my B-day Friday) so I'll be making the run to the shop that afternoon. It'll probably be this Sunday when I can get it out to the trails. The poor guys down @ the LBS must have s4!+ their pants when I told them when I was coming in. Reason being, it took me 6 months to pick up my first bike. Priorities oh how they change.
