Foo - Curious - what cars do you all drive?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. OK. I do NOT want this thread to degrade into a cars vs. bikes debate, nor do I want people who don't drive cars bragging about how they don't drive or chiming in with tirades about why bikes are better, etc. so if you have nothing constructive to contribute, please just don't add to this thread.

I'll start. 2004 Nissan 350Z whose lease ends this October. My next car will be a Porsche Cayman S or 911 Carrera later this year. Sports cars are another passion of mine. :)

96 Subaru (wish it was made by Honda) Outback wagon. A bike and wheels (off) fits in the back with the seats up and hidden from view. Theres hoops in the floor so I can lock the bike to the car. Which actually works. My car was stolen once with my track bike locked in the back. When I got the car back a couple days later the bike was still in the car, but the stereo wasn't. And they took my clothes! Who steals smelly clothes?
The luggage rack on top is the perfect size and shape for a bike carrying case.
Separate from bike usage, I have an easier time in snow and ice than do most SUV drivers and the big foot pick-up drivers. That's why skiers have always liked them. And I can go bumpity-bump on dirt roads where drivers of expensive paint jobs don't want to go and cars can't.
OK, so I'm not stylin'. But it's paid for, always starts, always stops, still reasonably fuel efficient, doesn't drip oil and has staellite radio. What else do I need?

You've probably been asked this a million times already, but...how do you like your 4S? Anything you'd change about it? I'm debating between the mid-engined Cayman and the rear-engined 911. All the reviews I've read about the Cayman rave about its stupendous handling. Carrera has more power but here in LA, that doesn't really matter much... :)

1995 Subaru impreza wagon. 230,000 miles on it, and it shows...but hey...it still runs damnit.

2004 Pontiac Montana minivan (wife drives it...it works)

When my wife finishes school in about a year, I'll replace the subaru...either with a new subaru, or something by Pontiac or GMC...as thats who I work for... I could get a SWEET deal on an 06 yukon (as the 07's are out now) but I can't afford the payments, or the gas.

Thanks! It's been on the world market (Europe, Japan, Australia, Africa) for 5 years. It was introduced to North America (Canada only) last year (2005). I have heard a rumor it would be released in the US soon

Its a very capable truck that has one of the largest sunroofs I have ever seen  Its a 2.5 L 4cyl, 170HP. It's been great this winter with all the snow. It has traction control and Vehicle Dynamic Control that will apply torque and brake to each wheel independently based on what it senses is happening. The Truck will not over-steer or under-steer with VDC active I thought this would be a good safety feature for my wife, however I find it's a blast just to push the limits of the VDC and see how it compensates

I wouldn’t change a thing - I also like it better then the new 997.

If you like driving the twisties (like I do), I’d go for the Cayman. I use to have a ‘00 Boxster, and the mid engine handled great. As you said, a 911 can be a waste of power in the city, so the Cayman would probably be more practical.

If you have to have a 911, all wheel drive is awesome.

Have fun.

Of course, even with the AC on it gets better mileage than any conventional car. ;) Also, it doesn't cause cyclists to gag while sitting next to them at stop lights. :)

And since I only put Campy between my legs these days I'm sure you'll understand. :)
