From the excellent ClassicRendezvous.com website:

"The Colnago DUALL Ergal, i.e., Aluminum
alloy , dual downtube model. These bikes
(as were the early carbon models) were
made by ALAN to Colnago's specs...Not just a
rebadged ALAN though, these bikes had many unique
details especially an aluminum version of the
"anti-vibration" fork."

Thanks John. Do you have any thoughts regarding a Vitus 797? I am looking for a bike with 60 cm seat tube c-c and 57 cm top tube c-c. The older bikes like Vitus and Colnago had this geometry. I am having difficulty finding an off-the-shelf newer bike in this size.
