Recreational & Family - Sunday's Race - Little DeViL's first road race

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Today my son the Little DeViL participated on his first road bike kids league race. We're primarly mountainbikers but he wants to give road biking a try so he signed on for the local cycling federation kids league.

They will have 10 races, 5 road and 5 track. He plans to attend to as many as he can combining with the mountain bike kids program. Hopefully he'll be able to race on the 3 venues.

Oh man I wish we had something like that around here.not that my kids would do it but We don't have much here for any bike racin. My daughter might go for it if it looked good to her and she has seen the pictures, but she is kinda small and afraid she would get left behind.
Hope your son had a good time.

that is AWESOME!!! hopefully cycling will catch on in more communities and for ALL ages!!!

...and my first thought was...teach 'em to ride (passionately) BEFORE they can drive! how's that for cycling advocacy?!?!
