I picked this up a while ago off of a listing on craigslist:

The guy I bought it from said he had it custom-made for him in the mid-80s. He claimed to have spent over $1000 on it back then; It was ridden around NYC 20 years ago, and has been in storage since. Its in pretty good condition for its age-- theres a few scratches and needs new tires (sew ups) but other than that its in good shape. The Decals read “Daniel Salmon,” which seems to be the name of a small builder in France (website here: http://www.cyclesdsalmon.com (http://)/) Its got Stronglight crank, speedy modulo brakes, Columbus steel frame (55cm) , huret RD, Campy FD, says "made in France" all over it. Does anyone have any information on this brand?

also, the chainstay is really short—so short that it looks like the tire is actually touching the center tube.— but, the center tube is bent slightly to accommodate it. You can sort of see it here on one of their new models:
