I bought a Chrome Kozmo (orange pvc-ized kremlin?) off craiglist today for what I thought was a good deal, $40. Damn! It's actually ridiculously large, and it gets even bigger when you take a look inside. The quality looks good too, I wish I had the nifty seatbelt buckle thing though :(

I feel like... I don't deserve to wear it though. I don't know. I mean I can't trackstand and my skids / skips are pretty weak. These bags are obviously only for the most pro of the pro, and I am far from that.

One day I'll be able to wear it without guilt.

how about instead, if anyone makes fun of you for not being "pro" enough, you stuff them in the bag, and beat them with a sock full of oranges until they stop struggling?

A sock full of oranges gets unwieldy. I recommend a simple bar of soap for all your socking needs.

yeah I mean it's your bag man

its getting worse and worse how everyone is getting on everyone for not being "pro" meanwhile half the people making these claims are completely ignorant to the many other forms cycling takes besides trackstands and dickpiercings

As long as you actually use it, who cares? If you fill it full of groceries or dirty laundry and you have to put your foot down at a light who is going to diss on you? Even if its not full anyone who says that you're not "pro" enough to wear it is just a jerk. I would say stop worrying about it and go ride.

I got my reload 'courier' model when I was 19 (my mom got it for my birthday, she knew the people at reload), and I used it when I was riding 5 miles home with groceries through pitch-dark fire trails on my crappy hybrid in Santa Cruz. I then used in Philly with road bikes for about 2 years before I got my fix. I also took it to West Africa, where I toured around on a crappy motorcycle. Still going strong. Now that I live in NYC, I have the old-school reload logo, and a fixed gear, and have TONS of posenger street cred. Multi-purpose.

i have the chrome sultan (the huge waterproof backpack), and it dwarfs me! now there's a huge bag! it's perfect for work, i can fit almost any package in it; in fact, i can fit multiples of almost any package in it. the liner also pulls out to keep anything you've stacked completely waterproof. it's good if you haul alot of blueprints or tubes around.

no kidding, dude. it's not like this jacob's ladder is the most comfortable thing ever. especially while riding.

Those Kozmo bags are really freakin' orange.

Congrats, you have a relic of the late 90's. Be proud.

don't worry, most of these chumps (myself included) would have the same feeling. that doesn't mean it's not horsemanure, which it is. (the feeling of inadaquency one feels while wearing a bag they believe to be above them, that is)

Hopefully Navy seabags don't get too poser-ish (which I assume I am), cause I think it looks hardcore when filled with 40lbs of laundry

People will say/think what they will, but when you ride 15 blocks in the pouring rain with 2 suitcases of oly in your new bag to replenish your friend's weak little shindig-- Well, who's the hero then?

you can still buy one from chrome for 60$ i think. I have an old one from timbuk2.

humancongereel

really, 60 bucks? may have to do that. my army backpack is big as ****, but not waterproof. it usually works out okay, but still...

oh, and a jacob's ladder is like a prince albert, only there's more than one prince, and they're all going up and down the castle tower.

Unless you're beating down a mall security chief named La Fours. Then nothing short of a sock full of quarters will do.

in ghana they eat cats when they have too many. slaughtering them involves a burlap sack and a big flat rock.

mad ball when the law is on your side
grapefruit when its not

I knew some KOZMO riders, they mostly rode mountain bikes.

Only people with fragile egos would give you crap.
I bought a similar giant orange chrome, cause its comfy and ORANGE!

I teach a lot of rides and it helps people see you.

What can you still get from chrome for sixty dollars?

BTW, chrome is okay, timbuk2 doesn't last (lining), reload are nice so are bailey, PAC is the cadillac of automobiles. If you got a giant orange chrome truck tarp back, I wouldn't worry about anything except how to keep your back from cooking.
