Touring - Buy a Cheap Used Bike in Rome?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi -- I'll be in Rome next month and can either take a train or ride a bike to Florence (a lovely trip I've biked before -- 4-5 days, nothing arduous). I won't arrive with a bike, but I'd love to pick one up, used, for 50-100 Euros at some flea market or second-hand store, in order to avoid the train. Does anyone out there know how to score a cheap used bike in or near Rome?
I've been to flea markets in 15 different Euro cities, and they all had large stocks of bicycles for sale. I can't imagine Rome would be any different. The trick is figuring out when and where the flea markets are, and then getting there early.
A little off -topic, but I was curious about the route to Firenze? Do you go thru Arrezzo? I lived in Perugia a long time ago and think it must be a pretty hilly tour.
More on-topic, try to hook up with someone here.
