Does anyone use Paul V-brakes on their tandem? How well do they work for you?
I'm thinking about using Paul MotoBMX brakes on a custom tandem with the brake studs positioned like they would be on a mountain bike - so the pads could be adjusted for either 26" or 700C wheels. I imagine the brakes would work fine with 26" wheels and long pull levers. But I'm less certain about using 700C wheels and normal drop-bar levers. The Paul website says that drop bar levers "work great" with the motoBMX brakes on a mountain bike frame. With drops, I'd also use Paul cross levers, possibly with the pin in the top hole to give more cable pull than I could get out of the drop levers. Comments or suggestions?
