Hey guys,

I'm looking at getting some new housing+cables for my derailluers and brakes. I run BB7's front and rear, no front derailleur and an XT derailleur+LX shifter. I've been running standard cables and housing for the past 2 years, so I know no difference. I'm looking at the Delta Aztec Powerlines and the Jagwire's Rattler MAC. I can get those at wholesale, so I'll end up with one of them. Opinions on either? Will I notice a difference going to one of these from regular housing+cables?

i dunno but i think any new cables you will notice a world of difference in rear shifting

and if your only running 1 cog upfront why do you have lx shifter..

He's running an LX shifter for an XT rear deraillure...

I've heard Jagwire make good cables...you also might want to look at getting teflon coated cables...I just found out the Odyessy Slic cables are telfon coated!

I installed a sealed cable system from Dry Cables www.drycables.com over a year ago, simple to install, and is still shifting like butta.

I use both the Aztec Powerlines & the Jagwire Ripcords. Actually, i prefer the Powerlines for brakes & Ripcords for shift. With powerlines you have to be sort of careful with the installation proccess,especially with the liner.
I notice a little performance difference.
I don't think that they(powerlines) are so good that they can give one the skill to take 30 foot drops at Moab & land on the "Mushroom" like the Drycables can. :roflmao:
