Does anybody know of any bike that uses a 22" wheel?
I was thinking that this would provide a smoother ride that the std. 20" wheel.
http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/tires/457.html sells a tire and tube but no wheel.

thanks

Is there a reason for why you'd need a 22" wheel? Why not just simply get a 24" cruiser?

Why 22", why not?

I have a frame that was designed for a 20" wheel but it some extra clearance.
A 22" wheel will fit but a 24" will not.

Also, I was just curious. A 24" wheel seems bulky and 20" too small. Maybe 22" is just right.

Yeah, aside from the fact that you're going to gave a hell of a time finding a rim of that diameter since there's no market for 22" wheels, and then you'll probably run into the fact that your tire is going to be rubbing your forks and frame once you finally find one.

Seems like a great idea, though. Personally, I'll stick with using taller, wider bars.

yeah Ive often wondered why you don`t get 22" bikes.Coz it goes up in 2" steps,16",18"20"24"26" so why miss 22"? I agree it would provide a smoother ride especialy street riding. Not into cruisers tho,too big and unbmx like.Be interesting to see if you find one,I`ve never see any 22"bmx and I look at bikes alot. good luck

I've seen 18 & 22 inch wheels at the local Toys r us. It kind of made me wonder why.

It wasn't listed on the US web page but here's one for the UK:

These aren't bmx bikes but it proves that 22 inch wheels are available in some form.

I'd like to see a 22" BMX wheel. Somewhere between 20" and cruiser would be sweet.

I'm listening to Whitesnake right now, I forgot how great they were.

I saw some 21" wheels the other day. They were on a Hummer H2.
