General Cycling Discussion - i've been found out....cleaning.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

my wife caught me cleaning my chain and drivetrain with pinpoint precision. she then asked me to come to the kitchen and gave me a scouring pad and soft scrub and asked for me to use the power of love i use on my bike.... well --> her psychology worked and all 5 burners are spotless. i'm taking a break before the oven.....
Don't forget-mineral spirits are flammable. Best to use a citrus solvent on the burners.

You guys need to take better control of your wives!
Why just the other day my wife, Wendy, started to give me some lip, and I had to put a stop to it.
"Now Wendy," I said, "that's enough! I am the man of this house I am the king of the castle, *I* give the orders around here! Woman! Mind what I say, now!"
We'll you shoulda seen her - she got down on her knees before me and put her head to the floor and she said "Doug, the next time you say that, please, come out from under the bed!"

RiffRaff! Be my boyfriend!!
All you guys are a hoot!
Dude, I hate cleaning the stove/oven. Easy Off works good for the oven, an SOS pad will get the top done pretty quick. But in the end, it's a just a lot of work. Youshoulda been more careful \, don't you have a lock on your door??? :crash:

where will this all end? i am now concerned with streaks while using windex....i now know the value of a new brillo pad... i even unloaded the dishwasher this morning!!
You should really have two dishwashers. One for clean dishes and the other for dirty. You would just take things from the first one and put them into the second one after use.

Every woman wants two men. One who cooks and one who cleans. ;)

so now i'm just a guy who cooks, cleans & is a sex machine.... i have a mind too ya know!!
You guys gotta try Awesome Orange. It's availiable at (trying to remember) the Dollar Store or Dollar Tree. Anyway for one whole dollar + tax you get a bottle of this stuff that cleans everything from bike chains to carpets, from counter tops to couches. Now if I could just keep my girlfriend away from it I'd be all set.

Consider yourself lucky, RiPHRaPH. One of my neighbours called the cops when they saw me cleaning my bike last year (true story).

Well Chris, if you hadn't been doing the Angus Young
lookalike thing and cleaning your bike in a kilt
they wouldn't have called the cops. . . :roflmao:

everytime my kid ask for anything, My reply would be "No", I 'll think about it, one day my youngest son ask me a question Dad why do you always say No, i'll think about, it, my reply was that when your mom asked me, I alway say yes, so this is the proper time to practice the day that i will say no to her, that would be the day.....:D :D

To be honest I didn't bother to find out. All I know is the old guy is giving me weird looks while I'm cleaning my bike. I come home the next day and he's directing a sniffer dog search. I just let them go and find nothing. That way, they'll probably just ignore the old bugger next time.
