how hard is it to grind out 3/8 dropouts to 14mm with out screwing up the paint? what exactly does intergrade head set mean. also where to where do they measure head tubes. Thanks

It takes a long time to grind 4mm out of your dropouts, and if you screw it up, you're not going to be able to ride that bike. Also, there's no way in hell that the paint will be untouched, seeing as how you're taking material off the drops.
An integrated headset is a headset that does not use cups; the bearings drop directly into the headtube. If you're thinking of using one in a PBR (or that NG Dirtbike you mentioned in the other thread), they won't work; you need a regular, press-in 1-1/8" headet.
If you're referring to 1" vs 1-1/8", most any frame made since '94 or '95 will have a 1-1/8" headtube, so just buy a 1-1/8" headset and fork. If you're talking about the height of the headtube (which is generally 115-120mm, if I remember correctly), it's from the bottom to the top of the tube, but that's not a very important number in the first place. And if you're asking about how one measures toptube length, you measure it from the center of the seattube to the center of the headtube (if you're referring to the NG Dirtbike, the length will be 20.25").

so i will have to press cups in and buy a 1-1/8 head set and put it in and is that all. also im refering to the PBR. thanks

thats the frame i was thinking about getting and i was kinda wondering if it really made a diff or if there was an advantage between intergraded and standerd head set.

Integrated is a lot easier to work with, I'll say that much. On the other hand, if you repaint/coat your frame, you have to mask it off, instead of simply removing the cups and taking an abrasive pad to the inside of the headttube.

if you have to ask what is better, or if it makes a difference then I would say the answer is "no". the bike will not make the rider.
