Need a front canti cable hanger, the kind that bolts onto the fork crown. Does anyone know of an online source?

I have a brand new one that I bought awhile ago and ended up not using it. Got v-brakes instead.

There's three different kind there. They used to have some pretty nice one's on the 70's bikes but they're sort of hard to get these days. You could go down to the Salvation Army and see if you can't pick up an old Peugeot with the nicer type. But then you'd have to get rid of the stuff you didn't want.

Hey, I think I want one of those too. Even better if it's got a cable adjuster. Gotta beat the drilled out stem thing I"ve got going. And the dumb hangers off the stem under the bars are pretty awkward.

This looks like a good answer to a universal problem.

Can find that in shops with bmx parts.
I used one with cantilevers on my mtb before v-brakes.
It worked very well, longer housings\less exposed wire.
Now it's on the kids bike, rear\mounted on the seatstay brace.

Anyone care to post a photo of their front end with the fork hanger?

Gave more mechanical leverage over the calipers with the longer housing\less cable -
F-what it looks like.

Here's mine. It came off an old mtn bike. I had to file it a little to get it to fit on the Winwood fork. The great thing about it is that it eliminated the shaking fork problem I had when I applied the front brakes. If your fork flexes and shudders, this is the solution! Put one of these on before you try anything else. Then if need to, mess with toe-in, new brake shoes, fork replacement, etc. But you may not need to.
