what is that? a bios update or something? change the extension to .txt and open with notepad. don't think you'll "see" anything though.

is't .hex some mac compression or installation package thingie? or am i thinking of another file extension?Nah, that's BINHEX or .hqx which was similar to UUencode for converting 8-bit binary files into 7-bit text for transmitting across email or usenet newsgroups.

I was going to agree....as it sounded familiar to me as some sort of Mac archive file or something, but you are right, hqx is what *I* was thinking of.
