Today the Senate Judiciary Committee took big oil to the woodshed for consolidating market power via mergers and acquisitions and the result is of course rising oil prices, which they of course deny and the real reason is the rising cost of crude.
Yeah, whatever. Anyway what kills me is the incredibily stupid comment made by Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley: "You folks kind of have me over a barrel...I NEED GASOLINE!!!" (emphasis mine)
Jeesus, Chuck you're geeking out! Why don't you inject the stuff directly into your veins you moron!
Seems like almost all Repubs and many Dems are nothing more than enablers for America's oil addiction. They're tying the tourniquet around the country's arm so they can shoot up.
