As you approached the Thanksgiving festivities, what was your attititude toward the food?

Did you think along the lines of:

"I can afford to put on the feed bag, I've worked hard to get to where I'm at and I deserve a reward."

- or -

"I'm going to eat sensibly, I've worked hard to get where I'm at and I'm not going to blow it all with one meal."

I ate sensibly. I hate the feeling of over eating!!! But since I just got back from a 45 mintues jog I think some apple pie wouldn't hurt. :D

We don't have Thanksgiving so it wasn't a problem. As for Christas coming up - that's another story.

Well,

I intended to eat sensibly, but....

At any rate, I have taken off about 80 pounds since January, so a few days here and there are not going to kill me. If I maintain my weight for Thanksgiving I am happy.

I ate pretty sensibly overall, except for an extra piece of pie for dessert, and maybe a few more rolls than I shoulda ( I can't help it I LOVE bread !) but I figured I could deal with it, I got up Thursday morning and rode about 32 miles, so I was just replacing the calories I burned off :-) at least that's what I'll tell myself.. is it almost Xmas time ?? I hope someone got the hint that I need a bike trainer :-)

Thanksgiving, and 98% of the time I don't think about it. I'm 18, and my matabolism (sp) keeps up with whatever I eat. Either that or my riding does..
One day it will catch up on me and I'll have to go on metabolife or whatever it's caleld. But ya kno I exercise enough, I shouldn't have to worry about it...

yeh just wait until my coach reads this post, it will be my head.

I made it through Thanksgiving without gaining an ounce. Probably ate a few extra calories, but not many.

I ate very little.

This is one reason why I don't look forward to the holliday season, my wife is a fantastic cook and is hooked on tradition. I, on the other hand, am not much of a food lover and shy away from tradition. Of course I am constantly in her doghouse this time of year for not eating enough.

My heart bleeds for the millions of starving people throughout the world, who don't have this problem.

I have a sweet tooth, so can't pass up the yummies. I try to curtail my snacking, but I'm lucky since it take a little extra effort to really gain weight.

Oh yeah, it will catch up. Didn't catch up with me until age 29. I was at a slim 152 lb. I took a 4 month break and managed to get up to 169 lb. Prior, I never weighed over 155 lb.

But, I still ate as much as I could at Thanksgiving.

i paced myself well. got on the trainer early that morning to offset any gain. came out of the weekend up 2 lbs. i usually put on 5-7 lbs between thansgiving and x-mas then battle it off for three months. kind of like the charge cards.... you battle to keep up all year..blow it during the holidays then try and catch up for the first 1/3 of the new year.

i have totally cut out bread from the diet. other than that i try and rationalize any extra's i might take in.
