They are a solid dirt jump/urban/free ride bike. You will most likely end up epgrading parts in the future though. However, they are a high quality sturdy bike. go for it.

I bought one for my 13 year old son. The strength of the frame played a pretty big part in the choice. The parts spec (bottom bracket and cranks) is a little better on the 2006 model but I picked up the 2005 a lot cheaper. Also, it has a sweet paint job and looks great. You probably will end up upgrading the parts but I think they are good enough to leave on until they break.
