Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I don't have cable, but I do have a DSS Satellite. About a year and a half ago I found a way to delete channels from my view list that I didn't want to pay for in order to view. I deleted the slot that held OLN (Outdoor Life Network) because it was part of a package that included the golf channel and some other sports channels. I really didn't want to pay for Golf Network and others just to view OLN.

Thursday night I decided to order OLN regardless of the package that it was part of. I had heard that OLN was going to carry full coverage of the Tour de France in July, and I really wanted to see it. I started looking for the number to my satellite provider and couldn't find it. I undeleted on my channel list a few sports information channels and the OLN so I could see the channel when I got it. Come to find out, OLN had been part of my basic channel package for who knows how long. The first night I was able to watch a show called Bike Magazine and a show about mountain biking. Late this morning I watched the time Trials for Giro d'Italia (live). Jan Ullrich (Deutsche Telekom) is awesome! He didn't come in first for the time trial, but I think he will do really well in the race. BTW, he won a gold medal last year at the Olympics in Sydney.

If you don't have OLN, you really must find a way to get it. This channel is awesome!

Good info AF! I've got a C band that gets digital also. I'm trying to find it now. Here's something else that might be of some interest.

Nuts! It's on KU band. The one thing I don't get.
But the 4DTV site says it's a free feed so I guess I'll be pricing a dual LNB. You may be hearing from my wife for this AF. :)

I don't have cable, I don't have a dish, I don't have webTv, and I don't have an antenna. I am totally out of the racing loop. Any good websites? BESIDES Velonews.

Does anybody out there have Dish Network? It looks like the only way to get OLN is to subscribe to their Top 150 package. I don't want it bad enough to pay $40 a month just to get cycling coverage.
