Anyone use them that can comment on whether they would be worthwhile to use on my Trek 850 that I'm turning into a commuter? I like rapid fire...hate grip shifter. My LBS does not carry...so I can't look before I buy. Are they metal or plastic? Good quality? Better alternative?

Where's a good online place to shop for parts?
