Do integrated headsets need to be pressed in like traditional headsets? I'm working on a Cane Creek IS-2 and the instructions that came with it say nothing about pressing it.

No, drop those bearings in. Follow the instructions and you should be fine. Cups are integrated into your headtube, hence the terminology.

No cup press needed, but the crown race still needs to be properly set.

the star fangled nut in the fork and the top cap put the pressure on things and that holds everything together.
