just purchased a 180mm nr crankset on ebay so i have to remove the 170mm one from my bob jackson. it's been so long since i have had it off i forget if the bolt rotation on the left arm. can anyone refresh my memory. i don't want to strip my bottom bracket. if i remember correctly the bolt rotation on the right arm is standard counterclockwise to remove. thanks for any help.

Hold the crank arm with your hand and loosen the crank arm cap using a 5 mm Allen wrench by turning the cap counterclockwise.
Loosen the crank arm mounting bolt by turning the bolt counterclockwise using 15 mm box wrench. Remove mounting bolt and washer from crank arm.
I've got pictures if you want me to scan them.
(From Schwinn Service Manual, 1970, "Crank Arm Removal and Installation - Campagnolo and T.A. Cotterless Three-Piece Cranks").
it is the bottom bracket cup on the chainring side, and the pedal, that are threaded in reverse of normal (right or clockwise to loosen).
