Introductions - Hello from Atlanta

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Welcome Eddie.
You'll find there are lots of Atlanta area folks on BikeForums.
So which bike is your favorite?
Nice looking Classic on your website.
Too bad you removed the Litespeed decals. :(
I like showing mine off. ;)
That Ellijay Fat Tire Fest looks like fun. Is this a family-type event, or just for the hardcore tatoed MTB'rs?

The decals were removing themselves....that's a 94 Classic! Still rides great though. Right now the Kona Unit 2-9 is my fav, but it changes foten. I just recieved the The King to race on this year and I'm still getting it know it.

Very much family oriented. The Ellijay crowd is very lowkey....with all the epic riding up there is hard to throw down after. It's held at Fort Mountain State park which has everything from a 15 mile slog to a paved path around the pond....something for everyone.

Directions
From Atlanta: Take Interstate 75 North to Interstate 575 North and stay straight. The freeway will turn into GA State 515. Continue straight all the way to Ellijay. The Bike Shop is located in the Ingles shopping center behind Burger King in Ellijay. There is a traffic light at Burger King and Waffle House. Turn right into the shopping center (Old Orchard Square.)
To Cohutta Lodge: Same directions. Once in Ellijay, you pass Burger King and Waffle House on your right. The next traffic light, be prepared to turn left. Hardee's is your sign. Turn left at the traffic light; the road will cross over the Cartecay River and dead end into a traffic light. Turn left and follow GA Hwy 52 West into downtown Ellijay. Merge to your right as you go through the square in Ellijay and stay on GA Hwy 52 West to the top of Fort Mountain sixteen miles to Cohutta Lodge. Cohutta Lodge will be on your left side on top of the mountain. Bring your camera.
Sign up for the 2006 Italian Road Bicycle Festival!

I'm not much of a MTB'r either, but some of these look like fun. Atlanta seems to have a very hire MTB to Road trail percentage. *sigh*

Not sure what you mean?
Eddie O
There are a lot more MTB trails then there are dedicated road trails. Trails like the Silver Comet Trail, things like that. I'm not saying I want less dirt trails, it's not like they're taking away from potential road trails. I just think the road community has some catching up to do.
