who is on myspace? sorry to put this non-MTB related thread, but you guys are the targets. mine is in my profile here. add me as a friend if you want. i was looking to have MTB friends on there. since i have no real friends, i can pretend that you are all my riding buddies! :D

I have considered getting a MySpace, but not sure if I will. The local news ran a story about it, how a school was banning it, and my mom says "Oh, I wonder if your brother has a myspace." She logs onto it, looks around, finds his profile, and now his life is hell :) There is way too much incriminating evidence on that site :)

I consider myself quite internet savvy (read: GEEK!) but even i think myspace is just stupid. Why does everyone need a webpage again?

Yeah, it can be stupid at times, but it's good for getting into contact with old friends and stuff like that. Check my sig for mine.

it's mainly for entertainment, blogging (if you're into it), meeting others, and netoworking.

for little teens, it's to show how cool they are, tell the world everything incriminating about their lives, giving everybody every detail about who they are and where they live, and to look for e-lovers.

it's all personal preference. if you don't like it, don't do it. i use it because after high school, and now almost graduating college, it's the only way i keep up with what my old friends are up to without having to actually talk to them. too busy to truly keep in touch with everyone.

I idle in irc with my mates from back home.

a lot of people aren't computer saavy enough to use irc. (like my friends).
