Oh man, i had this sandwich today. It was a home-made materpiece. Mayo, ham, roast beef, provolone, KRAFT SINGLES!, coleslaw, and lettuce on a kaiser roll. IT WAS SO FREAKIN GOOD. I couldn't taste the Mayo much though, I think I migh take it off next time...
Whats your favorite sandwich?

It's a triple... peanut butter, strawberry jelly, butter, with broken up pringles potato chips stuck inside on white bread. Creamy yumminess with a bit of crunch. :)

Phatman, that sounds like a great sandwich. As for PBW, I'll reserve comment.... to each his own. :P
One of my faves is ham, kraft single or jarlsberg, mayo, lettuce, tomato. With a bit of vinegar and oregano, salt and pepper on the lettuce. On rye (kimmel) bread, black russian or brown bread or an onion roll.
A nice gloppy tuna salad on either a multigrain (6 is gooooood) or potato bread with sprouts. :D

I think that I'm going to go for another epic tonight - leftover turkey, chedder cheese, jalepenos, stuffing, and american cheese on a kaiser roll (of course)
I'll check back with a sitrep
Anybody ever have the "messy fish sandwich" from Red Robin's? Oh man ...that sucker is good! Fish...cabbage...tomato...great roll...and a great mayo type sauce. It's so good.

Hmmm Back 5 or 6 years ago while living in San Francisco, I used to ride down the street to the Roma Delicatessen on Lombard in the Marina and get me the most incredible Pastrami sandwich, with some spicy mustard and some provalone cheese on a soft roll... That was THE BEST sandwich i have ever had.. it is gone now... and my quest has begun... to find the greatest Pastrami sandwich around.. SoCal sucks for this... no good Deli's at all
Jeff
No Red Robins around here, but I have to admit that sandwich sounds good.
Another fave, and one I had tonight, was a meatloaf sandwich, made with my leftover meatloaf. Usually I prefer it on a roll or black bread but all I had was brown whole wheat. Still, it was great- horseradish on one side, mustard on the other. Yum.
One thing I've never had is a loose meat sandwich. I know they are more of an american thing. Are they any good or just really greasy?

The veggie sandwich from the honest-to-god Italian deli in Midtown Memphis- Fino's. Italian bread (not the mushy white stuff SHAPED like Italian bread, but the stuff that'll break your teeth on the outside!), artichoke hearts, three kinds of cheese, tomato, and this olive oil/onion/garlic/olive sauce that runs out while you're eating it. Oh man...I think I'm going there for lunch!!

Is that the Halle Berry in Monster's Ball or the Halle Berry in Swordfish?
Corned beef and pastrami on rye with cole slaw. There's a sandwich shop in Centerville, Ohio called Upper Krust that makes this and it's called the Philadelphian. I need to make a road trip and get one.
I have to agree with marty and walt, nothing like the old traditional smoked meat/pastrami on rye, pickle, coleslaw.
ALso, hot sausage sandwich with sauerkraut, a local place sells them. DROOL.

Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich. Their best after they have been in the warmer for at least 20 minutes. I used to work there. I was keep one in the warmer with my name on it. The longer in the warmer the better the pickles had a chance to moisterize the chicken and the bun.
I think I know what I am going to eat tonight.

OK OK OK check this one out! Fixed this mess for myself one night and DAYEM it was good!!
2 slices multi grain bread...
2 thin slices of smoked tukey...
1 thin slice of smoked ham...
1 slice provalone.....
chipotle flavored mayo spread
Toast the bread and while it's still hot, throw the cheese on one slice and pop it in the microwave for about 10 or 15 seconds. Take it out and put the meat on top of the melted cheese, spread the other slice of toast with the chipotle mayo. Put it all together and CHOW DOWN BABY!! :D

wow, dragracer, I got to try that. sorebum, that also sounds good. I think I might substitute the pepperoni with salami, as i dont really have any sandwich pepperoni in my house riht now.
Have you ever combined peanut butter with tobasco sauce? its pretty good, just dont add jelly to the mix. tobasco doesn't go good with the sweetness of jelly.

Mmm ok this sammich thread is making my stomach grumble. For you adventerous types, try this invention. I absolutely love them and find myself making seconds :P It's a hot pastrami with melted swiss with fried eggs inbetween a bagel or english muffin.
Lightly toast the bagel or english muffin. Optional: butter and brown the face in a skillet. Then crack one egg and fry it up. Squirt some hot sauce on there! After that, put down the pastrami on the skillet.. let it cook up nicely on both sides, then plop down that thick slice of swiss. Mmm! Put it all together with some mayo, and then here's the kicker... dip it in ranch dressing.
SO GOOD! (Fatening yes, but we bike so we can eat whatever)
Then again, I'm the guy that gets subs with every dressing and topping. :P

hey, that sounds like a Good Morning Burger, from the Simpsons!
"We take 18 ounces of sizzling ground beef and soak it in rich creamery butter. Then we top it off with bacon, ham, and a fried egg. We call it the Good Morning Burger."
http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/7333/pictures/Tvscreen.jpg
apparently, someone actually tried to do it.
http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Garage/2550/gmb.jpg
"Gimp's Good Morning Burger Adventure
In the spring of 1995, the members of Gimp fried up three Good Morning Burgers to see if they were as tasty as they looked on TV. The 18 ounce slabs of ground beef were cooked up in a frying pan containing three sticks of melted butter. At one point during the preparation of the burgers, Olestra was invented. After eating the burgers, they finished off their meal with a pint of Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream. They have not since had another Good Morning Burger, since the royalties they earned from Four Guys With A Dream... were not sufficient to pay for three quadruple bypass surgeries."

edit: I don't know why the pics aren't showing here, but they're showing when I preview my post. hmph.

Turkey, Swiss, lettuce, the hottest mustard you can find, on sourdough. Or peanut butter and honey on anything.

Avocado, mozzarella, tomatoes, salsa.

this is hard, and i have thought about it. since all sandwiches start and end with the bread, i start there....but even that is hard.
i'll take the cowardly way out and say any sandwich on the menu of the Carnagie Deli menu.
although i still love the elvis pb&j which is PB&J with thin slices of banana on toasted whole wheat!! (with a dollop of honey as well/.
