I am part way into a bike build using a (early '90s?) Bianchi frame, and the cheapo Ritchey Logic expert 1 1/8 threadless headset I just got off nashbar doesn't fit, the cups being too big for the head tube. The 1 1/8 fork i got fits into the head tube just fine, the head tube diameter is 35mm outer, and 30mm inner. The cups are 33 or 34mm, I am wondering if this is standard for 1 1/8 headsets, as i can't really seem to find these measurements on specs.
i would guess that if the bike is from the early 90s it uses a 1 inch fork.

damn, guess i should have done my homework better, hah. thanks guys.
i hope you have not cut the tube if that fork yet! trade it in for a 1 inch set up and look for directions for a home made headset press.
