so i'm gatherin' components for a new ride i'm buildin' up--since i would never do anything that you guys say is a no-no, i wanna know if colored chains are cool? if they are, where can i get 'em? who has a lot of colors? cause i like purple ones. but only if they're cool.

they are only cool on certain bikes
a color chain on a langster would never work

I had a bike mechanic friend who build up his new bike with all that colored stuff, chains, spokes, 4 colors of spoke nipples, . . . He took it to a local Century ride the day it was finished and it was stolen within the hour. You do not have to be gaudy to be cool. Try all gloss black (except the spokes).
