If any of you are interested, Busy Bee on 6th between 1st and A has a gorgeous 62 Frejus hanging in the store (sold, unfortunately) with some fantastic 1" pitch cottered cranks, Fiammi red label rims, Campy hubs, antique Brooks Swallow (i believe). worth passing through just for a look-see at a true classic track bike
also look in NYC bike works, he's got a 1948 track bike (white) restored, inch pitch crank and wood rims.
yeah, the restored paramount at bike works is gorgeous

I saw that bike up close on a visit last week and it's so, so sick.
Anyone see the pink San Rensho up in the rafters there recently?

That style of adjustable stem is known as a Major Taylor stem. On the paramounts they were made by Schwinn.

Maybe, his site says 1941, but by 1941 paramounts had slant trimmed seat stays. The balled-end seat stays, like on this bike were earlier, starting in 1938. I guess this could be an early 1941, but I don't believe 1948. Whatever though, the bike is bling.
