Why can't I post in for sale?

Hey,why can't I post in for Sale??It says I don't have permission etc.I have-and get-all sorts of stuff that might be of interest,and when I want to sell something my main drive is to get rid of it to make space,so I usually sell at reasonable prices.
What am I missing here??
PS-for example-I have-had- a set of SR 1970's vintage levers(no hoods).I would have sold them here for $15,or traded them for a set of $15-$20 pedals.I ended up selling them on Ebay for an astounding price(I'm embarrassed to say $107).It pretty much makes no difference to me-I don't make a living selling bike parts?I would have sold a Cinelli saddle here-same 70's vintage-great shape-for $5-$10.An Ebayer(nice guy from CA) practically jumped down the phone wire to buy it for $25 delivered.
What do I have to do to sell here?Thanks.Charlie

It is one of the benefits of paying the membership fee. As well as feeding the sysops food habit.

As ken has said, the for sale section is restricted to donating members. The reasoning is that it became a place of spam, so we had to resort to that.

If the moderators don't want to have to do their job of patrolling the sales forums then sell them on Ebay. That is what I am doing. Maybe sysops should work on advertising to help pay for their Mexican food. BF gets 1000's of people a day coming to the site I honestly don't think it would be that hard to get some decent advertisers to keep the site free. If you want an example of an awesome forum that is COMPLETELY free then check out www.reefcentral.com. They have a membership too but that come into play when the servers are all busy and you have a hard time getting into the system.

All of the membership is volunteer. No one is forced to pay for a member ship. Donations are greatly appreciated, if we didnt get them it would be very very hard to keep this site going. And if you have noticed there is advertisement. But at the same time we dont want advertisements all over the place because honestly, they just get annoying.

Also, it is not our job to have to keep taking out spam from the for sale section. We have many many many more threads to have to take care of, and having to deal with constant spam is just annoying.

So, I dont mean to ridicule your idea if that is what this sounds like. I'm just saying. If that didnt make sense, ask and I will try to clarifie...
