I usually work on Saturdays. Not quite as dedicated or busy as on Mon-Fri, but by default it's a workday. Sundays are generally off.

What about you? For the sake of this poll, any time from midnight to midnight counts. So if you work the graveyard shift Friday-Saturday, then you work Saturday. If you work the graveyard shift Saturday-Sunday, then you work both days.

[e] Oops... no poll attached. Oh well, whatever...
[e] Poll added. Thanks blue_neon for the tip.

Yes I work weekends, Saturdays and Sundays. I have off on Mondays and Tuesdays so I have my "weekend" then. It only sucks during the NFL season, but even then I only work til 2pm on Sundays.

Cheers.

Well I work afterschool 2 days a week, but also saturday 8-12 in the morning.
That is not too bad. I miss sleeping in after friday, but the folks are nice enough so its manageable.

Every Friday night 11p-7a, and every other weekend same shift. If anyone was wondering why I never post on Friday nights, you now have your answer. Betcha thought I had some kind of killer social life, huh? Nope, just work and BF's...:)

I work about two saturdays a year. Inventory, and once in a while we will do a 'customer appreciation day'. Other than that though, 7-4:30 m-f

Three months off? I barely get two months, and I need every minute of it.

I sometimes work on the weekend, but if I do, it's on my own time (i.e. the state gets me for free).

I'm often in lab on Saturdays and/or Sundays but never for more than 3hrs and not every weekend, so I don't think it qualifies.

If by work you mean ride all morning and into the afternoon, followed by slacking off and general relaxation...then yes ;)

Unless I'm overseas...then it's 24x7. Literally, 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, 6 months at a go.

No, not yet at least

I am turning in my app. To REI in a week or so. Wish me luck everyone! It has been my dream since well, since I encountered to outdoors to work at REI. I spend so much time there I remember every single section and what is in each of them.

During the summers when I'm not at school, I work at a hardware store. I usually end up working one or both days of the weekend, but I don't mind. I like having weekdays off more.

I work for my grandmothers accounting company, so i have very relaxed schedual. I have my own station so i can come any three days of the week at whatever hours i want, as long as by saturday i have all my weeks work in im good.

7.95 an hour+deskjob+100% flexable schedual=probably the best job a highschooler could ask for.

I work job right now, one working 4 days a week during the week day graveyard, then I work 4 days at Pizza Hut (Thur - Sun), including 25 hours as a driver (pizza girl!), then On Saturdays I watch two special needs kids for their parents in the morning (paid by the state).

Yes I make ok money, but barily enough to live on!

No more weekend work for me since I got out of retail back in 1992. It's absolutely great to be able to enjoy weekends like normal people, not to mention holidays.

My free time is more important than any job.
Too much really important stuff to do other than work.
After 29 years of working crazy hours to get by I dont have to
anymore and not going to. I will be working for myself in about 3 years.
Quality of life worth more than money.

I work in a hospital, and our department is on weekend rotation. It used to be every 7th weekend or so, it is getting closer to once a month or so. oh, bother! we don't get over time for this, so have to carve out days off to compensate.

I know some guys in my org who make a TON in overtime by working weekends.
Some of them work 12 hours each day.
Shame on them.
You can't buy more time with all that money.

You just get older.

I don't have scheduled weekend work, but we have retail sites and they always have something going on. A couple of weekends past, a guy and his GF were drunk and drove through the front of the store. That was a great Friday night

I've been a paperboy for the last 6 years. I work one hour per day, 7 days per week.

I'm about to give up my route, and get a (relatively) huge check in return, but for now, I work weekends.

Yep, we get from the end of May to the second week of August off. I have to do at least three continuing education workshops every summer, too. And for the last 4 summers, I have changed classrooms, so I have had to spend at LEAST a week every summer up at school moving and getting a new classroom in order.

This weekend, school has not seen or heard from me for a change!

I prefer it, because if I wanted to go do anything on my weekend off, I have to fight a crowd and no banks are open. I prefer to have weekdays off, much more peaceful, and everything's open.

I do construction, so I pretty much have the winter off. But during the busy season I love volunteering to work on weekends, because I make pay and a half on weekends.
