Hi All -

I currently have a nice pair of Profile CBX Pro Aerobars on my Aegis Trident and am considering changing over to a Road bar/clip-on set up. I just moved to London and for handling purposes (riding to work) and comfort, I think it may be more useful (and cheaper than buying a new bike). I'm not competing in any races longer than an Olympic distance this year, but may jump to Half Ironman next year. Anyone have experience using Road bar setup in long distance races? Any suggestions on types of Road bars/Clip ons I should look at?

Thanks!

I use road bars with Scott clip on aerobars...and I do Ironman. Though I stay on the aerobars most of the time during the race, I do like having the other position options - espcially the drops in the cross wind.

I don't think they still make the Scott bars that I use. A lot of people are happy with Syntace bars. My Scott bars have flip up arm pads. My bars can be positioned as narrow (or wide) as I like, and the arm pads are adjustable fore/aft and left/right to get a comfortable fit.
