if i needed to upgrade parts on my bike, let's say cranks and bb, should i get really good parts if i think i'll be getting a new frame in the future?

that way once i get a new frame, i can actually spend good money on really decent parts.

or should i go ahead and spend a bit more now, get good parts, because if they're good, they'll last long and will still be good enough for me to just switch over to a new frame.

i guess i'm wondering if it's worth it to put really good parts on just a decent frame. i mean, i love the bruiser and all, but i think i'm going to be getting a new frame next year.

The problem with BB's, in terms of switching to another bike, is that there are quite a few sizes of BB's. If you really want to upgrade now, and know the size of the BB on the bike you are planning to get in the future, and the 2 bikes have the same BB size, you could go ahead and do it. It's really your call.
