I have passing interest in getting a Kerin frame (I'm not a NJS nut, I just think they're super quality). But every frame I have seen or even heard of is like 50-54cm? What's the deal? I feel discriminated against!

They're thinking Randy Newman should contract terminal foot in mouth disease.

What I was actually trying to figure out was. What is the reason for the lack of large frames?

- Am I just missing the larger frames, and they do exist?
- Do Keirin frames run small, say by preference or some aerodynamic reason.
- Or just Japanese bike racers are small dudes and I am sol unless I go to Japan and have someone build me one.

Beleive me - it's hard to find to find decent short frames. Be glad you don't ride a 50. By the way, what your source for these disappointingly short frames??

are you not reading? the second post was your answer... "seems to be the average height for japanese racers"
they do come in the larger sizes, but there just aren't as many of them for the above reason. business cycles can get you a 60cm gran well pro for $1495

Japanese people isnt so short nowadays, I think the problem is that the guys only bring those sizes because are old bikes that nobody wants to start with :P . There is a myth that japanese people r small, nowadays are just big or short as any person.
