Yo, I was talking to a girl who's got a friend with hair like mine (long and just curly enough to be "wide") who said the secret is a "silicone-based" hair gel. She didn't know any good ones, though -- anybody know any good stuff?

No. That sounds scary. I've thought about using something on my goat'(y'know, so I can stab people with it), but I don't want it to be all slimy and gross.

Um I use wax. And pomade. And balm.
No gel or spray for me unless I'm going really fancy (rare).

try some 2-ball
i like garnier fructise... the kind that thicken the hair... mines so soft now... if people didn't have such nasty hands i'd charge them a dollar a second to pet it.

I've tried that on my goat', but nothing seems to work. Well, nothing I'd want in my goatee, anyway. The only thing I've found that works halfway decent(without gumming up the works) is to comb it and blow it dry after a shower. I tie it up, too, but if it's humid, it gets all poofy. I think I need something specifically for facial hair. Wonder what ZZ Top uses....

ooooooooooohhhaaa! Karldar, I thought you were talking about your GOAT...as in the farm animal...I could not for the life of me understand why you would want to gell up your goat!
RHS: head on down to a beauty supply store and see what they recommend.

Actually, that's what I've got now. It's still wide.
Perhaps I should use more.

Yup. That's a good 1/3 of the reason I took my current job.
Plus, red-haired guys shouldn't have short hair -- it looks odd. At least if you have LONG red hair you look odd and interesting.

how red is your hair, RHS? mine is more auburn than actually red. I agree about the short-red hair on guys. for some reason, it just doesn't look right.

My hair is the red of a thousand great and dying suns.

And that's an atypical level of "wildness" -- it's being blown from the back by some great mountain winds.
