I just caught the tail end of the selection show on ESPN2. From the looks of it, Michigan is in trouble this year. In the first round, they play North Dakota in Grand Forks. The winner of that game plays the winner of Minnesota/Holy Cross for a spot in the Frozen Four.

Once again, all of the regional games will only be shown on ESPNU next weekend :( , but ESPN2 will have the national semifinals and ESPN will have the championship game.

It was so much better a couple of years ago when ESPN would let other, regional stations show the regional games as part of ESPN +Plus.

Who says that 16 seeds can't upset 1 seeds? Sure, in the NCAA Hockey bracket the lowest seed is a 4 technically, but Minnesota (#1 overall) lost to Holy Cross (the 4th best #4 seed) 4-3 in OT last night.

Unfortunately, Michigan got hammered 5-1 by North Dakota.

Today, the east and midwest regionals get underway and UND/HC and BU/BC play for a spot in the Frozen Four.

Eeeks. I can't stand Wisconsin hokey teams. So freaking violent. I never saw so many people smashing, and doing stuff that could literally kill or maim players then when i watched wisconsin hockey teams playing last year. It was funny, this one game Wisconsin was non-stop penalty. They literally had somebody inthe penalty box throughout the whole game.
