Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Where can I find track wheels for cheap?

I am looking to build a track bike for commuting and daily use (No racing). I am looking for solid affordable track wheels with a flip flop hub on the rear wheel.

Does anyone know a good site where I coud find something like this, or good brands? Thanks

fwiw, I had the nashbar wheels and the lace was crap - machine built, and badly, at least in my case. I've been riding a IRO/Velocity built fixed mountain wheel on my snow commuter, and it's a top notch build - same pitch on all the spokes, nice tension, totally true 2 months later. I like the look of the aeroheat better than the cxp22 too.

btw, at least according the interview with Velocity on the fgg, they build every single wheel themselves by hand. Maybe only I didn't know that.

any other suggestions on this thread, i am also looking for an inexpensive rear flip/flop wheel. something decent but good.

you should update us in a month and tell us if they're still true.

After talking to a mechanic about rim choices, I'm pretty set on getting something like Velocity deep v's. After one good pro tuning, he has yet to need to true them again.

I can vouch for those rims, they're on my road bike. I've had to conduct maintenance after 6 months. Of course I was the third owner.

if you get those nashbars, have a good wheelbuilder de-tension, re-tension, and true them after a week of riding. shouldn't cost much.

I almost want to get these for a beater, but the deep v look is keeping me away.
