Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Crossed bar tape?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I found a link somewhere that gave a how-to for criss-crossed bar tape (Kris/Kross?), but now I can't find the page again. Has anyone else seen this?

Everyone knows that REAL track bikes just have ourys by the stem.
Damn you guys are quick. Another 10 minutes of trying other terms in google lead me back to rivendell where I first saw it. Is it as hard as it looks?

Why bother with anything below the tops?

Because steel nittos aren't heavy enough on their own.

True, but that's not the point.
In other news, Ruffy Tuffy tires don't seem especially ruff -or- tuff. Stupid flat!

If those tires say one thing to me, it's "shenanigans."

I found it to be a *****. I started out practicing on a set of OK bars, but decided to wait 'till I got the perfest bars (which were recently bought out from under me, ahem, mr. or ms. red alligator skin covered fiamme owner). The problem was, I am doing black crossed with black. It is hard to see which layer is right. Colored would be much easier.

It's a shame your Holland has 650Cs.

The holland won't fit anything bigger than a 23, either.
Hmm.. I wonder if I could shoehorn a 32-559 wheel in there.
